Hot Buy – Cycling Shirt – $6.99 for Today
My favorite cycling shirt the Duofold 100% Poly T-shirt seems to be gone now that Champion has rolled them into their product line. I just don’t like the Champion Tees. They don’t breathe very well, get soggy, and don’t have the nice soft feel of the Duofold Tee.
Here’s a 100% Poly Tee that comes highly recommended at $6.99. I haven’t used them myself but at $6.99 I bough 4 for the gym and summer cycling. They are on sale right now at Nashbar, 72% off Sale, Nashbar Prime Crew Neck Jersey.
Hot Buy – Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey
This jersey is a lot more stylish and a little above my $10 limit but it does look pretty nice. Yes, you can get it in Red. Here’s their sales pitch:

Hot Buy – Recumbent Long Sleeve Jersey
I can’t find my favorite jerseys any more but these are as close as you can get and at a great price. BTW: this is the same company that produces Duofold. Here’s their write up:

Hot Buy – My Favorite Bicyling and Workout T-Shirts $9.99
Check out Duofold Vari-Tec T-shirts at SuperCasuals for $9.99. I buy the safety yellow for bicycling and they do stand out. Not quite as nice as the old Duofold Vari-Tec 100% polys but the best I have found for the last few years. They are light and breathe well. These shirts have flat seams that won’t rub on long rides.
I bought 5 at this price and shipping was $7.99. Bicyling t-shirts are not long lived items if you don’t like stains.
Hot Buy: 100% Poly Shirts are back
Update – 09/01/2008 – Don’t buy these shirts for bicycling, they are too heavy and don’t breathe as well as the shirts I have bought in the past. Fine for other purposes but too heavy for summer bicycling. They are labeled 100% Poly but feel like the kind of Poly/Cotton blend I don’t like.
Found some nice 100% poly Wicker shirts on sale for $9.77 at Sierra Trading Post.
I much prefer 100% Poly shirt for bicycling over the poly / cotton blends. They poly shirts breathe better and don’t get sticky.
I’ve order a stack because it’s has been a while since I have found any 100% shirts on sale.
Hot Buy – DuoFold Duo Dri Shirts – $6.97
These are the best summer bicycling shirts I can find now; the 100% poly shirts seem to have disappeared. At $6.97 the Campmor Short Sleeve Tech Crew (For Men) – By Duofold is hard to beat.
If you’d like a brighter version of the same shirt,the Duofold Duo Dri is available in Safety Yellow or Orange at Campmor for $9.97.
Hot Buy: Cycling in Quebec, 5th Edition
A new edition of Cycling in Quebec: Official Guide, 5th Edition in English is coming out very soon and can be ordered now. This is the best guide available for La Route Verde and cycling around Montreal and Quebec City. The English version is hard to get and usually sold out before summer. So if you are thinking of bicycling in Quebec order one now.

The Patagonia Web sales are not as good as the Outlet Sales but they are alot easier to get to. You can check out the lates sale at Patagonia Web Specials. Check out the Rain Shadow Jacket at 50% off ($74.50), this is a nice cycling and off-bike rain jacket.
Hot Buy – Light Rain/Cool Weather Tights
In light rain and often in the morning, I like to wear breathable tights not rain pants. Campmor is having a nice sale on Hind DryLite Tights, $29.96 ($50 List).
I have several pairs of Hind Tights and think they are very nice and a great buy. These tights are a little tighter than my favorites but a great buy and hard to beat if you like tights.
