Ed, these sandals
http://www.exustar.com/ss220.php
made by Exustar are the same as the Nashbars. I'd guess Exustar manufactures the Nashbar model. I have an older model Exustar without the adjustable heel strap, and with an even less foot-friendly sole. Nevertheless, I agree these are great for hot weather riding.

Hope you saw Slipstream Idler kit - Part 2.

Installation was very easy and quick. The lower part of the chain is definitely deflected quite a bit if you use the existing guard as shown in the instructions. Enough that I have considered using an add on guard like the one supplied with the upper idler. Since the guard hasn't moved the deflection must have been there before and I just never noticed it.

The new idlers are definitely quieter.

I am sure there has been an affect on pedaling effort but it is not one that I can sense at this time of the year.

Spring is arriving late here in New Hampshire and with a good bit of cold weather and rain, so I don't have many miles on the idlers yet.

The idlers are very nice but seem quite expensive.

dexey glad you enjoy. We'll just have to disagree on tubes but I've always said the only times you get agreement is when people aren't interested.

What really soured me on Prestas were the batches of bad tubes that Michelin produced about the time I started self contained touring with a friend in Georgia during the winter. I had used only Prestas on my diamond frames for years for the reasons you cited. But for several years, the Presta valves would pull out of the tubes at the worst possible times. Taking the usual precautions didn't help. One tube would be good and the next one would fail quickly.

Please bring up questions for discussion as you run into them. We may not agree but there is always something to lean in civil discussion.

Fist a general answer and then some specifics. When you need a translation try Google Tools, http://www.google.com/language_tools. This is a very nice translation tool.

A few words you might need:

Anglaise = English

Etats-Unis = United States

Now how to order:

When you go to the link above the page has a how to order button, click on that and it takes you to a page in French that wants you Zip Code, just enter your zip and hit "Suivant " (French for next). Leave the Velo Quebec Member number blank.

Then fill out your personal information on the next page.

I've posted an example of a filled out form at the end of this article.

Hi,
I can't figure out the Canadian site to order Cycling in Quebec and assure that it will arrive in English. I don't see the US listed under countries either. Help!

I'm not sure about this.
I doubt that rim strength difference is significant but a presta is very easy to get to high pressure with a hand pump. A schrader isn't.
A small brass collar can be screwed onto a presta to allow a garage pump to fit. I carry two pumps anyway. No way would I think 60 miles between petrol station air pumps a reasonable distance to go to get my tyre at the correct pressure.
Overall, as I expect to be hand pumping, and because I can adapt it for garage pumps, I choose presta.
Love this blog. I've only just discovered it having bought a Ran clone lwb recumbent recently.
Cheers
