This is a sadder but wiser update of my 2006 post: Why I don’t use Clipless Pedals.
I am back to Power Grips this year. I don’t know it for sure but I feel that using Clipless Pedals in 2006 contributed to the hip problem that have kept me off of my bicycle for the last year. [...]

Draftmaster Hitch Rack that Fell While Driving at 60MPH
This is the way bike and rack rode down the highway
I spent some hard years as a Product Service Manager and a Quality Control Manager. During those years I faced into several tough recalls. I was lucky, I worked with a Corporate Lawyer who agreed with doing [...]

Bennett on Portland Bike Trail by Airport

These are some refection’s on what I learned during my July Tour in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. I have done most of my bicycle touring on the Atlantic Coast from Labrador to Massachusetts, the Southeast, and [...]

Roland on Bike Friday Sat-R Day
It has been almost 3 years since I’ve ridden my Sat-R Day, the bike has not had a good history.

I try not to ride at night but even if you aren't a bicycle commuter you occasionally have to ride at night. Last Monday, I got a late start on my ride home from the White Mountains and spent the last two hours riding in the dark. It had been a very overcast and dark [...]

Long wheelbase recumbents (LWB) are heavy and underseat steering (USS) doesn't let you use your arms on hills. With those disadvantages, why are USS LWB Recumbents so popular for cross country rides?

Today, I'm in Longueuil just across the river from Montreal. I've spent the day walking in the City in heavy rain looking at the route of tommorow's "Tour de l’Île de Montréal".
They are expecting 50,000 riders if tomorrow is a nice day. But, I am wet, cold, and discouraged because the forecast for tomorrow is [...]
