Hobobikers Update

with 3 comments

Ketchikan, AL

Nancy and Randy continue on their trip from North of the Arctic Circle. They are now in Ketchikan, AK. Here’s there latest update.

==================================================================

Hello to all of you from the Hobobikers!

We’ve made it down the Alaska Highway section and then down the Cassiar Highway to Stewart, BC. Then Nancy had a wild hare and got us on the mail plane from Hyder, Alaska (next to Stewart) over the Misty Fjords National Monument to Ketchikan, Alaska.

We posted a bunch of stories about the trip on http://hobobiker.com, and put new pictures up there on http://hobobiker.com/photos.

It’s quite an impressive rainy day today in Ketchikan (quite normal, I understand), so we’re pretty happy to be inside catching up on all the internet and email chores. Tomorrow night we’ll take the ferry to Prince Rupert, and from there we’re planning to take the ferry out to the Queen Charlotte Islands. Then back to Prince Rupert and down to Vancouver Island. We’re probably done with Bear Country now, so Nancy can relax a bit!

Thanks for following along!

  2. very small comment, Alaska is AK not AL. And most of Alaska is below the arctic circle

  3. Richard you are of course correct. I have fixed the abbreviation. But plead “not guilty” to hyperbole, their trip started in Inuvik.
